Summer Youth Camps
Cooking Ninja Camp - Ironwood

In this camp you will:
- Prepare and eat a variety of lunch options
- Make and share snacks with the rest of the camp
- Discuss helpful tips and tricks to making healthy choices, like eating well and being active
- Practice planning and shopping strategies for healthy eating
Creepy Critter Crawl Camp - Ironwood

This week-long camp will introduce you the great outdoors!
Activities throughout the week include:
- Touring and hiking our local forests and natural areas, learning about native plants and wildlife and collecting samples to examine in the field and in the lab.
- Topics include tree identification and forestry, insect identification and entomology, soil analysis, birds and other wildlife, and sampling aquatic life in local ponds and streams.
- Students will also learn about pets in a collaboration day with HOPE Animal Shelter.
Manufacturing/Welding Camp - Ironwood

Manufacturing Week 2022 is designed for students, ages 12-14, where they experience modern manufacturing by creating, building, and taking a product home. At camp, they tour manufacturing facilities, learn about entrepreneurship, and meet top industry experts. Campers will:
- Experience a safe, hands-on learning environment.
- Learn about the design process.
- Operate machinery under close supervision.
- Visit local manufacturing facilities.
- Discover their future career in manufacturing.
Show Me the Money Entrepreneurial Camp - Ironwood

This week-long camp will introduce you to the basics of entrepreneurship and how to start your own business.
- Activities throughout the week include:
- Creating a company
- Designing, building and displaying a product
- Branding your product
- Promoting your marketing message – including on social media
- Hearing from successful local business owners
- Managing your business to make money!
Manufacturing/Welding Camp - Ontonagon

Manufacturing Week 2022 is designed for students, ages 12-14, where they experience modern manufacturing by creating, building, and taking a product home. At camp, they tour manufacturing facilities, learn about entrepreneurship, and meet top industry experts. Campers will:

Survival Skills Adventure Camp - Ontonagon

In this week long camp students will:
- Learn American Heart Association basic first aid and CPR skills.
- Learn how to save a life and basic survival skills for the UP wilderness.
- Hike to the Porkies (approx 2 miles).
At the end of the week we will put our skills to the test and practice some of our first aid skills on our hike.
*Campers will receive an American Heart Association CPR/First Aid Certification at the end of class.*
